This blog has been killed by Facebook

January 24th, 2011

This blog has been killed by Facebook. It’s death was unceremonious, so much so that I’m just now getting around to acknowledge it. My blog used to contain paragraphs of thoughts. With the advent and pervasive effects of social networking, my bloggable thoughts were forced into smaller categories. I began completing sentences that began with “Scott is” and referred to myself in the third person. Twitter seemed like a way to bridge the gap, feeding Facebook and the blog simultaneously. This boxed my thoughts even further to sound bites I expected to be widely relevant, provocative enough for response, and regrettably in some cases short enough to tack on a clever vanity hash tag to provide an editorial judgement on the topic at hand. This blog has died. Hopefully, I’ll rediscover my voice.
